Your Safety Is Our Priority

FastAssist24 places the greatest importance on the safety of customers, service providers and all road users. Follow the guidelines below in a breakdown situation.

Breakdown on a Motorway

Step 1 — Stop safely: Drive as far to the right as possible and stop on the hard shoulder. Switch on your hazard lights.

Step 2 — Exit the vehicle: Exit the vehicle from the right side. Put on a high-visibility vest. Move behind the crash barrier at a safe distance from the vehicle.

Step 3 — Warning triangle: Place the warning triangle at least 30 metres behind your vehicle (motorway: 100 metres).

Step 4 — Wait: Wait behind the crash barrier. Be extra careful around passing traffic.

Breakdown on Other Roads

Park as safely as possible in a lay-by, side street or safe verge. Switch on your hazard lights. Wear a high-visibility vest and place a warning triangle at an appropriate distance. Activate roadside assistance as quickly as possible via the FastAssist24 app.

Children, Pets and Passengers

Take all occupants, children and pets out of the vehicle. Never leave them alone in a stationary vehicle on or beside the road. Guide children behind the crash barrier or to a safe zone.

Lock the Vehicle

Lock your vehicle after exiting. This reduces the risk of theft and prevents third parties from unexpectedly getting into the vehicle.

Emergencies

In case of a medical emergency or immediate danger: call 112 immediately. In case of fire in the vehicle: exit the vehicle immediately, take all occupants to a safe distance and call 112.

Communication

Keep your mobile phone charged. Communicate your exact location to the roadside assistance centre and to those around you. The FastAssist24 app shares your location automatically.
